The student is able to examine, observe and interpret their living environment and visual image culture critically. The student is able to convey observations and interpretations through photographing. Student is able to collaborate in an international student team.

The student learns the basic digital technology of photography and creates a photographic work of art. Sustainable development.

- Start of the course: aim, content, timetable, evaluation and feedback
- Borrowing DSLR-cameras (Av-storage practices)
- Control of the camera
- Practices of saving and delivering image files
- A basic photo technique and expression lecture, 2 hours
- A brief for the task 1: A self-portrait
- A brief for the main task of the course: A sketch for Art Work

Tue 1.11. (class 20014)
- Downloading image files
- Photoshop and Bridge applications
- A short presentation for a large format printing
- A brief for the task 2: A milieu portrait of a friend

WEEK 45
Mon 7.11. at 9.30 – 11 (class 30015)
- Tutoring / working with Photoshop

At 12 – 15.30 (class 30017)
- Feedback of the task 1 and 2

Tue 8.11. (class 20013)
- Tutoring / working with Photoshop
- Feedback of the main task ideas

Thu 10.11. (class 30016)
- at 10-15.30: Tutoring / working with Photoshop (the teacher whole day in the classroom with 14artmedia too)
