Students
-understand the meaning of nursing science;
-justify choices with scientific arguments;
-describe the scientific research process in nursing research;
-differentiate the approaches of quantitative and qualitative research;
-choose appropriate data collection and analysis methods according to the study approach;
-know general guidelines for project work.
-know ethical guidelines in scientific research

-core contents of Finnish and international discussions in nursing science
-scientific argumentation
-research ethics
-stages of research process
-empirical research: quantitative and qualitative
