Arviointimenetelmät ja arvioinnin perusteet

Student knows the basics of pre-planning process of an installation to a public place, and what are the main issues that should be taken into consideration in planning. Student is able to use local lighting conditions (dominant indoor and outdoor lighting) in a creative way as part of the installation, as well as recycling and the special characteristics of the space and its’ architecture.

Opiskelijan ajankäyttö ja kuormitus

Contact teaching and meetings with teacher 40%. Individual/group work 60%. The student is expected to complete the course tasks partly outside the contact teaching times.

Sisällön jaksotus

The course consists of two parts aiming at an installation for Café Soolo in Tampere Hall.
First part (7.-30.10.) includes classes and individual/group tasks, and the focus will be in pre-planning process of the installation.
Schedule:
- 7.-9.10.: classes
- 12.-14.10.: individual/group tasks (sketching of installation) – no classes
- 15.-16.10.: classes (showing the first sketches, discussions, feedback and further instructions)
- 17.-30.10.: working with plans, deadline 30.10. – no classes but meetings with teacher as agreed
Presentations of the plans for Tampere Hall representatives in the beginning of November (actual date will be confirmed later).
Second part (Nov-Dec) consists of preparation time and building up the installation in the location as agreed with the representatives of Tampere Hall. The preparation time will be scheduled together during the first part of this course. Deadline will be somewhere in the end of November and according to the load in time determined by Tampere Hall. Actual dates of load in and building up the installation at Tampere Hall as well as load out will be confirmed later.

Student attends less than 50% of classes. General activity in fulfilling individual/group tasks is weak. Student has not familiarized him/her self into the subject of the course and is not able to apply his/her knowledge to practical work.

Arviointikriteerit - tyydyttävä (1-2) (Ei käytössä, kts Opintojakson Arviointikriteerit ylempänä)

Student attends at least 50% of classes. General activity in fulfilling individual/group tasks is low. Student is able to master the subject matter acceptable way. Reached competencies are tentative and student has difficulties to apply his/her knowledge to practical work.

Arviointikriteerit - hyvä (3-4) (Ei käytössä, kts Opintojakson Arviointikriteerit ylempänä)

Student attends at least 70% of classes. General activity in fulfilling individual/group tasks is good. Student is able to master the subject matter well. Reached competencies are in good level and student is able to apply his/her knowledge to practical work.

Arviointikriteerit - kiitettävä (5) (Ei käytössä, kts Opintojakson Arviointikriteerit ylempänä)

Student attend at least 80% of classes. Activity in fulfilling individual/group tasks is excellent and student is able to master the subject matter well. Reached competencies are in outstanding level and student is able to apply his/her knowledge to practical work.
