Opiskelija
-osaa toimia tarkoituksenmukaisesti työelämään liittyvissä viestintätilanteissa (esim. esittelyt ja kokoukset).
-osaa oman opiskelualansa keskeistä termistöä.
-osaa kirjoittaa työnhakuun liittyviä dokumentteja ja selviytyy työhaastattelusta.
-osaa tehdä opinnäytetyönsä Abstract-osuuden

Suoritettu Tekniikan englanti 1 tai vastaavat tiedot.

Arviointimenetelmät ja arvioinnin perusteet

The following areas need to be convered and the following tasks completed:

APPLYING FOR A JOB IN ENGLISH

You need to produce

- a skills based CV

- a job application

and take part in a job interview (in small groups in class)

PROFESSIONAL LANGUAGE

- your skill will be checked in a test in December (explaining terminology to a non-professional and a reading comprehension)

PRESENTATION SKILLS

- you need to give a professional presentation in English either in the English class or elsewhere (this can take your grade up)

WRITING SKILLS

You need to produce

- an abstract

- a memo of a meeting

Assessment is based on continuous assessment (completing tasks on time and the level of them), the test, peer evaluation and self-evaluation

Guideline for attendance: 80%. Please send a polite message to Taru if you are unable to attend. In anbigous cases the attitude of the student to work and learning can make a difference.
