Objectives (course unit)
The students are able to:
- use up to date visual design techniques, tools and working methods
- deepen their professional identity as media professionals.

Emerging trends in visual design for events.
Evaluation methods and criteria
The students are able to:
- understand the basics of visual design process
- manage pre-planning process and produce basic drawings and other documents needed for visual design of a simple event production.

This spring the course will be connected to the live music event in Mediapolis 28.-29.4.2016. Students will work in two groups: one will concentrate on set design and the other on lighting design.
Assessment criteria - fail (0) (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)
Student attends less than 40% of classes. Student hands in assignments delayed and/or they show poor skills. Participation in classes is poor.
Assessment criteria - satisfactory (1-2) (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)
Student hands in the assignments. Assignments show descent skills. Student attends at least 40% of classes. Student shows descents participation in classes.
Assessment criteria - good (3-4) (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)
Student hands in most of the assignments in time. Assignments show good skills. Student attends at least 60% of classes. Student shows active participation in classes.
