Osaamistavoitteet (Opintojakso)

The students learn how to apply and describe their skills and knowledge into a thesis and become experts in their own field.

Sisältö (Opintojakso)

The thesis required for the BA degree consists of the thesis, an evaluation seminar and a maturity test. The thesis may take any of the following forms: 1) Written essay which includes a concise portfolio of the most important works and projects done during the studies. 2) Media work which includes a written part describing and evaluating the work as well as giving it background information. Media work may be for example a work of art, a development task or a part of a larger professional project.

Every student has a personal thesis tutor teacher.

Lisätietoja opiskelijoille

The thesis process starts by enrolling to the bachelor’s thesis module courses (Media Analysis and Research Seminar, Bachelor's Thesis and Research Project) and by writing a half page proposal about the personal thesis topic. The topic is sent to Kirsi Karimäki and it is accepted in the degree programme. After that the student get a tutor teacher for the thesis. The thesis is done according to a personal plan.
