Target group: beginners or those with comprehensive school studies in the languageIn the second foreign language course, the student learns the language used in the most common situations of working life, basic structures of the language and business culture(s) of the target language area.
The student
- will be able to understand and speak the language in the most common situations of working life
- will be able to understand and communicate the main information concerning businesses and workplace
- will be able to use the basic structures of the language
- will know cultural differences and ways of interaction in the language area, and will be able to take them into consideration in his/her work

The student can understand ,ask and answer very simple questions in Russian related to easy everyday situations. The student can write simple messages and use a limited basic Russian vocabulary.The student has limited knowledge of Russian cultural aspects.
Assessment criteria - good (3-4) (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)
The student can manage fairly well in easy everyday situations. The student can use everyday expressions and write short messages. The student knows the basic Russian structures quite well. The student is familiar with the most important aspects of Russian culture.
Assessment criteria - excellent (5) (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)
The student can manage very well in easy everyday situations. The student shows a great interest in Russia and its culture. The student can produce short messages well and speak and write grammtically correct Russian.
