Objectives (course unit)
The aim of the final thesis is to further develop students’ capabilities, and to demonstrate their ability to apply knowledge and skills, gained through their professional studies, to a practical task. In an ideal situation it should deal directly with a relevant problem in the field of environmental technology or management or in business with environmental and socio-economic issues. The final thesis should show that the student is not only familiar with the theme of the final thesis, but it should also demonstrate the student’s competence in using the research methods needed in the work and competence in scientific communication. Mandatory part of the Final Thesis is the course in Scientific Methods taught during autumn term of the 4th study year.
