Objectives (course unit)
The student is able to
- use the key quantities and with their help analyse the electrotechnical features, power demand and energy consumption of devices.
- communicate electrotechnical information concerning devices and systems within the field.
- identify electrotechnical elements in HVAC devices and is aware of how to control them.
- observe the significance of lighting as part of building services and evaluate the effects of lighting solutions on his/her work.
Content (course unit)
What are the basic quantities in electrical engineering and what are their mutual relationships? How are the quantities calculated? What information about HVAC devices and systems should be communicated to others? How and with what devices are HVAC systems controlled? What are the basic quantities of lighting and how does lighting affect the energy consumption of a building and the conditions in various spaces?
