Objectives
The students learn the basics of modern production systems and modern, agile production in mechanical engineering industry. They gain the basic knowledge of the most important production equipment used in machine automation and integrating them into a system, as well as the data flows and data transfer in the production process. The students can take into account the most important factors when designing and evaluating a modern production system. The students recognise financial and technical risks in automation investments.
Content
Production philosophy in modern production systems, planning flexible modelling systems (FMS), simulations, FMS dataflow, ERP, PDM and EDI, data transfer in a modern machine workshop, FMS and its interfaces, production monitoring, maintenance and supervision, sensors in robot cells, adhesions and applications as well as financial and technical risks in automation investments.
