Objectives

The student has an understanding of the potential of wellbeing and health technology in maintaining wellbeing and promoting health. The student is able to find out the needs of different user groups and User experiences of different wellness and health technology solutions. Is able to apply user-oriented design methods in the planning of wellness and health technology. Be aware of the need for ethical considerations when designing wellness and health technology solutions.

Content

Maintaining wellbeing and promoting health as concepts. Key concepts and content of wellbeing and health technologies. Possibilities for utilization of technologies in maintaining well-being and health promotion. Core contents and concepts of user-centered design. Methods to determine user needs. Methods for the co-development of on-demand and user-driven technologies. Ethics and data protection in the context of wellness and health technology users.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

Can explain the key concepts and content of wellness and health technologies. Can explain the key concepts and methods of user-centered design. Can describe and experiment with methods for co-development of demand and user driven technologies. Able to contribute to discussions on ethical and privacy issues.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

Can use key concepts of wellbeing and health technologies in the right context. Is able to use the key concepts of user-centered design correctly and reasonably to choose methods according to the situation. Can use methods to co-develop demand and user-driven technologies. Can contribute constructively to discussions on ethical and privacy issues.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Can apply and combine methods to determine user needs Is able to apply and combine methods in the co-development of demand and user-driven technologies. Can analyze and document research results. Can critically evaluate the results obtained.
