Introduction to Engineering Mathematics (5cr)

Objectives

The students learn elementary functions and their properties. They learn the basic skills for handling mathematical expressions and will be able to create a mathematical model and solve the equations.

Content

Mathematical signs and symbols, handling and creating of mathematical expression, different kinds of equations and formulas, sets of equations, polynomial functions and their graphs (especially line and parabola), linear dependence, proportionalities, inequalities, concept of logarithms.
