Objectives
The students learn the fundamental laws describing the behaviour of deformable bodies and become familiar with the most important special theories of elasticity.
Content
The basic equations of linear theory of elasticity and different methods to solve these equations. Introduction to the theory of slabs and plates. The membrane theory of shells. Energy principles in elasticity.
