Interactive Film Workshop (3op)

Osaamistavoitteet

To investigate both theoretically and practically the ways in which interactive
and/or non-linear narratives (fiction, documentary, art and others) can be created using 'live-action' video segments and to produce a self-initiated working example of an interactive movie. The course will not be platform-specific: possibilities for dvd, art installation, broadband, interactive TV, performance situations and others will all be discussed.

Sisältö

Lectures showing many examples (good + bad) of works made from interactive moving images. Examples and looking at various possibilities for interactive movies. Examples of workshop-made films.
Individual presentations of concepts/proposals. Discussion and development of ideas. Project development and planning. Further screenings (where relevant to the student's proposals).
Filming and digitising, editing, postproduction to be carried out in preparation for the authoring stage. Presentation of
projects.
