Objectives

The students
- know the basic concepts and can apply them in customer work
Mental health
- know the basic starting points for mental health and illness
- can improve their knowledge on mental health, mental wellbeing and mental problems
- know mental health as a social and wellbeing service in public, private and 3rd sectors
- can operate in the field of mental health, in promotional and preventional work, guiding persons in rehabilitation as a part of multiprofessional team

Substance abuse work:
- the students can evaluate substances as a multifaceted phenomenon and from various scientific viewpoints
- recognise their own attitudes towards intoxicants
- know the basic information about substances and their use
- can work in preventive and curative substance work tasks
- know the legislation, service systems and guidance processes of substance and mental health services
