Goal of the course during the 2nd year of studies
The students
- know how to use TAMK's library services, familiarise themselves with general and field-specific e-materials
- know the basics of information acquisition and use e-materials

Goals of the course during the 2nd-3rd year of studies
The students
- know how to systematically search for professional, field-specific information in e-materials and to evaluate sources
- Can apply scientific information acquisition skills in e-materials and to critically evaluate the sources
(integrated into the seminar in the Bachelor's thesis process and into a professional topic).

Contents in the 1st year
- fluent and efficient use of library services
- hints on e-materials
- effective and systematic information acquisition methods

Contents during the 2nd-3rd year
- topic specific information sources
- basis for evaluating sources
- updating, improving and applying information acquisition skills
- critical evaluation and selection of sources
