Objective of course
Students have a good understanding of the teaching material and other repertoire for their instruments. They have the ability to critically analyse and compare different teaching material and methods. Students understand their rights and obligations and have the capability to analyse their conceptions and actions. They have the ability to take ethical and moral points of view into account in decision making and use their knowledge and skills in a viable manner and analyse the justification of decisions in working life contexts.

Course contents
Practical pedagogical trainee period with a D-level student. Practical assignments in teaching the instrument, testing and analysing pedagogical methods. Accompanying the student, guiding an ensemble or rehearsing a player for ensemble work.
Pianists: Accompaniment
Ethical know how.

Teaching methods
Trainee period, discussion and demonstrations.

Assessment methods
A demonstration of teaching skills during the spring semester. Assessment: accepted / more work required. Teacher's assessment of entire trainee period: accepted / more work required.
