Objective of course
Students
-are able to work in the polytechnic learning and working environment
-are aware of the structure of the degree programme, their future profession and polytechnic studies as part of the European higher education system
-become familiar with their student group and understand how their role promotes positive learning environment
-are capable of utilising the support services of studies
-are aware of the students´ possibilities of participating in and affecting the development of education
-start planning their own studies and career under the supervision of their teacher tutor and comprehence the importance of the students´ active involvement in their own learning process
-are able to use computer hardware and MS Office software in accordance with the working life needs
-can develop their IT skills as the field develops

- curriculum of the degree programme, study plan and orientation to the future profession

-document setting standards
- MS-Excel or other equivalent spreadsheet
-integrated use of Office programs by means of clipboard
- production of presentations with PowerPoint or equivalent presentation graphics

- peripheral devices to computers, like printers, scanners, digital cameras, sound
reproduction equipment
- basic use of MS-FrontPage or equivalent web editor
- the most common information security risks and their management
