Objectives
- understands the principles of physiotherapeutic examination as part of the physiotherapeutic process
- knows the structure, function and regulating factors of the human musculoskeletal system
- knows the principles of physiotherapeutic examination methods
- understands the importance of documentation as well as it's ethical principles and responsibilities in physiotherapy
- understands the meaning of diverse loading factors of the musculoskeletal organs for the human physical functioning ability
- are able to acquire literature written in Finnish and in foreign languages and use it for developing their own expertise
- are able to work in groups and use the group in their learning

Course contents:
- Hislop's system-theoretical model in structuring physiotherapy
- nervous control of movement, motor control
- anatomy and physiology of the muscle-skeletal system
- biomechanics in understanding moving
- methods of physiotherapeutic examination: interview, observation, palpation and measuring
