Objectives

Essee: Opiskelija osaa käyttää erilaisia tiedonhankinnan tapoja ja kirjoittaa monipuolisiin lähteisiin perustuvan tutkielman. Hän hallitsee PIRAMKin opinnäytetyön mukaisen kirjallisen raportin rakenteen ja muotovaatimukset. Hän osaa laatia englanninkielisen tiivistelmän ja esittää kirjoitelman pääkohdat suullisesti.

Liikeidea: Opiskelija oppii käyttämään elinkeinossa olevia liikeideoita kehitellessään uusia ideoita toimiviksi kokonaisuuksiksi. Hän oppii myös kiinnittämään huomiota esitysteknisiin asioihin ja tuottamaan myyntihenkisiä esityksiä yleisölle.

Toiminnallinen loppukoe: Opiskelija hallitsee perusruuanvalmistusmenetelmät ja tarjoilutekniikat. Hän tuntee tavallisimmat tuotteet, joita tarjotaan ko. liikeideoin toimivissa yrityksissä. Hän osaa käyttäytyä asiakaspalvelutilanteissa (myös englannin ja ruotsin kielellä). Hän tuntee alan lainsäädännön ja osaa ottaa sen huomioon omassa toiminnassaan. Opiskelija osaa suunnitella ja organisoida työtehtäviään.

Objective of course
Students can use diverse information acquisition methods and write written reports based on diverse sources. Students master the structure and format of written reports according to the bachelor´s thesis requirements of Pirkanmaa University of Applied Sciences. They can write an abstract in English and give an oral presentation of the main points of the report.

Management of operational environment/Business idea in accommodation, 2 cr

Objective of course
Students will learn to use existing business ideas in developing new ideas to functioning entities. They learn to pay attention to presentation technical issues and produce sales-driven presentations for the public.

Management of operational environment/Practical final examination, 6 cr

Objective of course
Students master the means of basic food preparation and serving techniques. Students know the most common products which are served in different kind of restaurants. Students know how to behave in customer service (also in English and Swedish). Students have a good knowledge of the legislation in the field and take it into account in their own work. Students can plan and organise their own work tasks.

- excursions to diverse companies (breakfast, pub, fast food, cafe, staff restaurant)
