Objectives

Laaja-alaisen osaamisen saavuttamiseksi perusopintoja tukeva harjoittelu tulee suorittaa hotelli- ja ravintola-alan eri työtehtävissä.
Opiskelija saa kokonaiskäsityksen yrityksen toiminnasta. Hän oppii soveltamaan asiakaspalvelun perustietoja käytännön suoritustason tehtäviin.

Objective of course
To gain extensive skills, the practical training 1 must be completed in various tasks of the hotel and restaurant field. Students will get a general view of the operational environment. They learn to apply basic customer service knowledge in practical work tasks.

Course contents
-SWOT- analysis of their own strengths/weaknesses
-practical training in an enterprise and acquainting with its functions, practical training contract
-making a development plan
-expansion of their professional skills according to their own development plan by working in the practical training enterprise
-reporting according to the instructions on bachelor´s thesis (instructions from the tutoring teacher and in Pirkanmaa Polytechnic´s quality manual)

-approved SWOT-analysis
-practical training contract
-minimum hours completed according to the collective labour agreement of the field
-passed practical training report
