Objectives

Upon completion of the course, the student is able to name the human musculoskeletal system in Finnish and Latin:
• Basic anatomical structures and movements
• Superficial structures of the body from the front and back
• Superficial muscles of the body from the front and back
• Palpable (palpation-detectable) bony landmarks (points used to assess, for example, the symmetry of a person's posture) from the front and back
• The most important bones from the front and back

Prerequisites

No previous knowledge required.

Assessment criteria, pass/fail

Passed: The student demonstrates proficiency in the essential knowledge of the musculoskeletal system anatomy and achieves at least 70% correct answers in the exam.

Failed: The student's understanding of the anatomy of the musculoskeletal system is inadequate, and they scored less than 70% on the exam.
