Objectives

In this course, we explore and practice interpersonal encounters. The focus lies on establishing communication and collaborative relationships, understanding the various dimensions of human well-being, and providing support accordingly.

Upon completing this course, the student will be able to:
• Recognize the different dimensions of well-being and create effective communication and collaborative relationships
• Justify the social significance of well-being within its entirety
• Evaluate, support, and enhance an individual’s functional capacity
• Successfully engage with individuals in various life situations
• Identify and understand the starting points and different stages of the communication process

Content

• Consider holistic functional capacity
• Assess functional capacity using appropriate tools
• Take health, safety, and well-being into account in diverse environments
• Apply effective communication and interaction processes to support and enhance functional capacity
• Understand key legislation related to these interactions
• Engage in practical exercises related to encounters

Assessment criteria, pass/fail

Student
• demonstrates achievement of the course objective
• applies relationships between phenomena and concepts in their work and can provide theoretical justifications
• defines problems and tasks, and justifies solutions and choices based on knowledge
• reflects on their own actions, competencies, and areas for development, including feedback received

Not Approved:

Student
• fails to demonstrate achievement of the course objectives
• does not apply relationships between phenomena and concepts in their work, nor can they provide theoretical justifications
• is unable to reflect on their own actions, competencies, or areas for development
