Objectives

Students
-know the national legislation and instructions from authorities and EU-instructions governing optimization of patients’ radiation exposure
-know the measuring methods of radiation exposure
-know how to optimize patients’ radiation exposure in x-ray examinations
-are able to determine the patients’ dose (ESD, DAP, effective dose) in x-ray examinations and report the results

-Diagnostic Radiography, Clinical Training II

-can describe the measuring methods of radiation exposure
-can determine the patients’ dose (ESD, DAP, effective dose) in x-ray examinations and report the results

-can explain the key concepts of radiation exposure
-can explain the measuring methods of radiation exposure
-can determine the patients’ dose (ESD, DAP, effective dose) in x-ray examinations and report the results following good scientific practice

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

-can reasonably explain the key concepts of radiation exposure
-can reasonably explain the measuring methods of radiation exposure
-can determine the patients’ dose (ESD, DAP, effective dose) in x-ray examinations and report the results widely following good scientific practice
-can connect his/her own learning to vocational context
