How to Design an Online Course (3op)

Osaamistavoitteet

At the end of this course, the student:
-has a rough framework for his/her course and a detailed plan on how to finish building it, or an almost complete online course
-is familiar with the concept of online pedagogy and central learning desig theories
-knows how to use relevant 21st century tools to facilitate learning
-can apply collaborative and team-based working methods in his/her own teaching

The course will familiarise you with the following concepts:
-online pedagogy and learning design theory
-relevant 21st century tools for learning
-collaborative and team-based working methods

The work equals 3 ECTS credits. The estimated number of working hours needed for completing the course is roughly 8h/week.

All the materials of the course are in English, but the small groups and their facilitators can use either English, Finnish or Swedish as their working language.
