Basics on Buildig Design (4cr)

Objectives

The students familiarise themselves with the technical implementation of construction design, and learn about different types of building types and how they fit their environment. The students are able to include construction desing into a building construction project and understand the basics of architectural design.

Content

The progress and position of architectural design in the design organisation. The qualifications of designers. Principal designer. Design documents and their purpose. Permits, builiding permit - documents and permit procedure. Interpreting site plans, permitted area volume calculations. Building and land use legislation. Orders and instructions. Design for all. Basic of housing design (flats, room spaces etc.).
