Objectives

The student
- is able to recognize the symptoms of most acute and chronic diseases and to assess the need for treatment;
- is able to evaluate the nursing process creatively, individually and in apatient-centered manner to make use of evidence-based information;
- is able to guide and support patients and plan and secure the continuity of care in remote connection at the patient's home, reception or hospital care;
- is able to act professionally in relationships with acutely ill and long-term patients and collaboration with significant others;
- is able to guide and support patients in health improvement, in different phases of the illness, by using digital resources.

- implementing nursing with acutely ill and long-term patients in primary health care
- medication for acute and long-term patient care
- illness as crisis and its nursing
- dementia nursing
- changing work environments and service processes in basic health care, digital health services, nursing at home
- nursing documentation and securing communication
- the nurse in primary nursing, the nurse in charge or team leader

Prerequisites

First year and middle phase studies completed, at least 135 credits, including the basic level studies in the field of the optional professional studies
