Objectives
The students implement a script and a video installation and learn about the history of video art as a part of tradition of art and experimental film. The students develop skills for teamwork.
Content
The course consists of three parts: basics of video art, history of video art and light-natural light –project. In the basics of video art, the students learn about digital videography, editing and scriptwriting process of video art, as well as examine the relationship between video art and different genres of moving picture. The focus is on the traditions of video art and art films. The history of video art focuses on video art as a part of the tradition of art and continuum of modernism and relationship with new media. In the light-natural light –project the students implement a video art work.
