Objectives

The students have competences in mastering the indoor air of residential and office buildings. They are able to calculate the noise emissions caused by HVAC systems, recognise noise control methods and are able to choose the best solution.

Content

In-depth knowledge of air conditioning systems and processes, technical and economical comparisons, special calculations in cooling needs etc. Humidification and filtering solutions; different options for air intake. Theoretical basics and calculations for air conditioning air engineering. Measurability of ducts and operations. The efficiency and coefficient of efficiency, specific fan power. Natural and hybrid ventilation. Value analysis and presentation of alternatives for the person making the decision.
