COMPETENCE PRODUCED BY THE EDUCATION
The focus of the education is on evidence-based entrepreneurship management and development skills.

The education provides the skills for demanding entrepreneurship management, development, and expert tasks in social and health care, emphasizing independent and critical thinking, management of change processes, innovative strategic development, identification and solving of complex challenges, and effective leadership.

Through the studies, theoretically extensive knowledge of the social and health sector is achieved, as well as the readiness to acquire researched information as a basis for entrepreneurship, for its critical evaluation and development, taking into account the legislation both of the social and health sector and entrepreneurship.

EMPLOYMENT OF GRADUATES
The degree in social and health care entrepreneurship is a work-life-oriented higher education degree, comparable to equivalent degrees in EU countries (EQF, level 7). Broad-based entrepreneurship management and development skills enable national and international mobility for students. Upon graduation, students can develop social and health care entrepreneurship based on evidence. The education provides the qualifications to act as an expert in social and health care. Graduates also gain eligibility to apply for vocational teacher education, public office, or positions requiring a master-level university degree.

VALUES OF THE EDUCATION
Students deepen their critical ethical examination of their field and enhance their skills in social and health care entrepreneurship, development, and management.

Students base their business activities on evidence-based knowledge, considering various perspectives such as legality and sustainable development. They can establish entrepreneurial activities based on social and health care legislation.

Students can work both independently and in multidisciplinary network cooperation with various actors or as independent entrepreneurs, respecting the skills and expertise of others.

Students value the continuous development of their activities, themselves, and their field, following developments nationally and internationally.

STRUCTURE OF STUDIES
TAMK’s master’s degrees include 30 ECTS credits of advanced professional studies in the subject area, focusing particularly on key issues in social and health care entrepreneurship, management, and development. The degree program includes 30 ECTS credits of elective studies, chosen based on the student’s interests and schedule, for example, from TAMK’s common master’s studies. Optional advanced studies and elective studies complement expertise according to professional special needs.

IMPLEMENTATION OF TEACHING
The education consists of contact teaching days (2-4 days/month) and distance and independent work. Various methods of independent work, participatory work, and collaborative learning are used in the education. Some teaching may be conducted in English. Each student prepares a personal learning plan together with a teacher tutor. The mode of implementation of teaching is multi-modal.
