Objectives

The students know the government regulations and requirements of health care medical equipment and software, including patient safety viewpoint and are able to document them.
The students know the implementation health technology solutions which use ICT technology for entire project life cycle.
The students know most common production methods and production stages of the software produced for the health sector.
The students are able to find health technology applications and software to meet the user needs and the associated availability requirements.

Content

Medical device government regulations and requirements.
Medical device regulatory requirements and documentation.
Introduction to ICT project implementation of health technology.
Software production methods, i.e. the phase distribution models (waterfall, agile methods, prototype model, incremental R D).
Software life cycle phases: requirement analysis, system design, software design, implementation, testing, commissioning and maintenance.
Software usability of health technology products,
ICT project work as the health care expert.
