Sustainability Measurements (5op)

Osaamistavoitteet

This course aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of sustainability measurements, focusing on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), the GHG Protocol, and Emissions trading. Students will learn to apply these concepts to real-world scenarios, enhancing their ability to make informed decisions in sustainability management.

After completing the course, the participants will be able to:
- understand the current and upcoming landscape of sustainability measurements
- apply basic principles of LCA and discuss the role of assumptions, value judgments, and uncertainties on LCA results
- use LCA software to conduct an LCA analysis and interpret the results and write a report.
- gain knowledge of the GHG Protocol and emissions trading mechanisms.
- understand how sustainability measurements can support sustainability management of an organization
