Objectives
In this course, the student deepens their previous knowledge by applying real electronic components. Upon completing the course, the student will be able to:
• Describe and identify the operation of passive basic electronic components.
• Explain the operating principles and application of diodes, transistors, and thyristors.
• Create circuits using electronic components, measure them, and prepare reports on the measurements.
• Describe the basics and applications of digital technology.
• Perform basic electrical measurements and analyze the results.
Content
Basic electronic components and their operation.
Operation of diodes, transistors, and thyristors.
Operation of rectifiers (DC converters).
Transistor as a switch.
Protection of electronic devices.
Computer simulations.
Guided laboratory work, use of measuring instruments, and report writing.
Introduction, as applicable, to number systems, Boolean algebra, basic logic gates, and digital technology fundamentals.
