Objectives
The student is able to
- safely measure electro-technical variables in the electrical
network and analyse the results
- verify whether the most common building services engineering
systems meet the requirements
- report measurements and draw conclusions of them
- clarify and apply electrical safety requirements in electrical work
assignments
- define the responsibilities and obligations of the person responsible for electrical safety at work
tasks.
Content
Measuring building and
distribution networks. Measurements required in commissioning
electrical installations, quality controls and inspections during
the work phase, inspections during receiving and
commissioning installations. Functional checks of devices.
Electrical safety regulations and standards.
Prerequisites
Electrical Building Systems in Non-residential Buildings module
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)
The student is able to do measurement connections and
perform measurements according to given work instructions
and separate instructions. Students take responsibility for their
own work and know how to work in a group.
Accepted course completion requires that the student has
followed the instructions given; has participated in laboratory
work according to attendance requirements (100% attendance);
has prepared and returned the pre-requisites, brief reports and
coursework in a timely manner; and passed the course exam
successfully.
The student recognizes the basic challenges of electrical work safety but applies it
electrical work safety requirements strictly.
Assessment criteria, good (3-4)
In addition to the above, the student is able to explain the
course of the measurements he / she has made, to process the
measurement results and to justify his / her observations during
and during the measurements.
The student performs the tasks independently and assumes
responsibility for the group's performance.
he student describes the basic challenges of electrical work safety and is able to apply them
electrical work safety requirements in normal situations.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
In addition to the above, the student is able to critically analyze the measurements he / she has made and the measurement results he / she has processed and to draw more in-depth
conclusions from his / her observations. Students are motivated
and active and take responsibility for their own and group
performance.
The student describes extensively the challenges of electrical work safety and is able to apply it
electrical safety requirements.
