The student can:
- describe the grounds for the design and construction of the LAN of the property
- identify the most common cables and devices used in local area networks and how they work
- describe the operation of the router and switch
- Identify and name architectures and protocols used in data networks such as IPv4, IPv6, TCP and UDP
- take into account the importance of security and explain the concepts involved

The student masters a wide range of LAN technologies, cabling solutions and LAN components and is able to design a demanding LAN and implement basic services.
