Objectives
The student gets a deeper understanding of concrete's material properties and working methods, so that he/ she can take their requirements into account in challenging production sites
Content
Winter construction, shrinkage and creep, mass selection, floor concretes, aftercare, molds and concrete casting, as well as special issues of concreting and materials science.
Prerequisites
Concrete Technology, 5 cr
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)
The student knows the basics of the course and understands the key criteria of concrete technology, as well as the topics discussed in the lectures. The student has successfully completed the laboratory exercises of the course.
Assessment criteria, good (3-4)
In addition to the previous one, the student can apply the topics of the course in different situations, justifying the solutions.
The student has successfully completed the course exercises and analyzed the results.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
In addition to the above, the student has a comprehensive understanding of the subjects of the course and an understanding of their connection to the entire professional field. In addition, he is able to deeply identify and justify the causes, consequences and actions of various stresses and situations that are targeted at the material, as well as solutions to challenges. The student has successfully completed the exercises of the course and analyzed the results and understood their connection to practical construction and the functioning of structures and materials holistically, economically and ecologically.
