Objectives
The aim of the course is to develop basic skills in the application of insolvency and civil procedure law.
Student
- identify and present the main aspects of insolvency and civil procedural law
- apply the rules of insolvency and civil procedure in practice and justify their decisions
- take into account ethics, responsibility and professional cooperation in their work.
Content
Voluntary and judicial recovery of debts.
Enforcement, bankruptcy, reorganisation, personal debt adjustment.
Legal dispute resolution.
Litigation.
Coercive measures.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)
The student will identify the main principles and general doctrines of insolvency and civil procedure and apply them to practical situations. The student will identify insolvency and civil procedural problems, obtain information from different legal sources and solve legal questions. The student will describe the importance of taking ethics and responsibility into account in his/her work. He/she will participate in group work and reporting.
Assessment criteria, good (3-4)
The student identifies and understands the main principles and general doctrines of insolvency and civil procedure law and is able to evaluate them critically. The student will be able to structure an insolvency and civil procedure case into relevant sub-issues, argue for their resolution in the light of the main legal rules of the field and present a reasoned solution. Students will act ethically and responsibly in their work. The student is an active member of a team and reports well on his/her work.

The student will critically analyse and evaluate the main principles and general doctrines of insolvency and civil procedure law. The student will identify problems in insolvency and civil procedure, acquire and analyse information from different legal sources and solve legal questions analytically, critically and comprehensively. The student will promote ethics and responsibility at both individual and group level. Students will be highly motivated and committed to taking responsibility for their own and group performance and reporting.
