Objectives
During the study module, the student deepens their expertise in promoting mental health. The student gains skills to support mental health in the role of a public health nurse.
Upon completing the study module, the student
• can identify and address mental health-related challenges and provide systematic support to clients in various sectors of health nursing.

Content
• Promoting mental health in the work of a public health nurse.
• Identifying mental health-threatening challenges, addressing them, and providing systematic support in various sectors of public health nursing.

Prerequisites
The student must have completed nursing phase studies 135 ECTS credits and must have participated in the study course The Basics of Public Health Nursing. The mental health and substance abuse nursing course must be completed during the nursing education.
