Students
- are able to plan, implement, evaluate and develop evidence-based nursing of the elderly
- understand age-induced changes in medication of the elderly and are able to independently implement medication prescribed to the patient and monitor its effectiveness
- understand the importance of continuity of care for wellbeing of the elderly and are able to support and guide the elderly / clients and their relatives as well as strengthen their involvement and activeness in all stages of care
- understand their professional responsibility in ethically sustainable care of the elderly and identify and have the courage to put forward proposals in order to develop practices and improve the quality of care
- deepen their clinical and professional skills in elderly care
- become familiar with age technology and ethics and safety of using technological solutions and are able to assess the possibilities and suitability of technology introduction in different situations
