The student
- knows the essential skills in the areas of advanced medical-surgical and palliative nursing care
- is able to work in advanced clinical nursing care safely and following ethical principles
- knows how to act showing expertise in a variety of action environments for advanced clinical nursing care
- is able to utilise factors influencing the quality of nursing in the development of his/her own work and in the work community

- workshop for gastroenterological patients
- planning of pharmacotherapy and fluid therapy
- workshop for palliative care
- changing workshop according to the course’s implementation

Prerequisites
At the beginning of the elective vocational studies, the student must have completed 135 credits. These should include the theoretical studies and orientation to practical training of the area which the student has chosen for the elective studies, as well as courses in anatomy and physiology. Required courses are Medical Nursing and Surgical Nursing.
