Objectives

This course includes essential knowledge of computed tomography and performance of computed tomography examinations, first aid, acute imaging and intravenous cannulation.

After completing the course, the student:
• knows the key concepts of Computed Tomography and CBCT devices that are utilized in professional studies
• knows the structure and operating principles of Computed Tomography and CBCT devices
• knows the principles of safe working in CT examinations and know how to act in cases of emergency
• knows the most common CT examinations carried out to adults and children
• knows how to guide patients in CT examinations
• knows how to optimize the dose of radiation in CT examinations
• can name anatomic structures in a CT image and apply their knowledge of topographic anatomy in CT examinations
• can discern the findings discovered with CT
• can perform the most common x-ray examinations of extremities and body according to the procedure of x-ray examination in acute situations
