Advanced Level Emergency Care 2 (4cr)

Objectives

Student
- is able to independently assess an acutely ill or injured patient and complete their clinical examination by a variety of examination tools or medical device
- increases the competence in making a correct working diagnosis to apply emergency care
- is able to decide on the urgency of the transportation of the patient and if necessary justify not providing ambulance transportation when the condition of the patient does not require further treatment in hospital
- is able to document, use the authorities network and information and report policy confirming the patient´s care
- is able safely implement medication and monitor the effect of medication and its efficacy
- deepens the knowledge of anaesthetic methods and medicine
- is able to work in a crisis situation
- knows the importance of supervision in emergency care
- can apply medicine and other disciplines in emergency care

- preassessment, advanced assessment, clinical examination, monitoring and holistic care of an acutely ill or injured patient
