Objectives
Student is able to
- can interview the patient and the next of kin/ bystanders
- can examine systematicly the patient in emergency care in order to support and assess the patient´s vital signs
- uses safely and take care properly of the examine- and treatment equipment
- knows the basics of the pharmacotherapy and the fluid therapy in emergency care
- knows how to immobilise the trauma patient with basic equipment
- notices and document how the care has effected to the patient
- uses the authorities network and the VIRVE telephone
- asks for treatment instructions at need, give preinformation and report
- knows how to inform the patient if he stays at home
- works ergonomically
- transports patient safety
- describes the viewpoints pertaining to driving emergency vehicles
Content
- Examine the patient, recognize the needs of emergency care and make a preliminary working diagnosis, give the needed treatment on basic level
- the basic pharmacotherapy in Emergency Care
