Objectives
The aim of the course is to provide skills to act in various communication situations in working life in Swedish.
After completing the course, the student:
• can communicate appropriately in Swedish in professional written communication situations
• controls the central terminology of his field
• can talk about his own professional expertise
• knows how to search for and interpret professional information in his own field from Swedish-language publications
• knows how to evaluate, maintain and develop his own language skills and language learning skills
• achieve the oral and written skills of the second domestic language required by the university of applied sciences legislation, which is necessary for the tasks in one's field
Content
Authentic professional texts, forestry vocabulary, work tasks in the field, talking about your own education, talking about the productions of your field, various communication situations specific to the field.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)
(Skill level B1.1) Student:
- can communicate simply about their professional skills (e.g. job application)
- can tell about his field in a nutshell
- mainly handles the most important predictable interaction situations and customer contacts in one's field in an understandable manner
- writes somewhat comprehensibly
- uses the basic vocabulary of his field so that the essential message is conveyed
- uses simple basic grammar structures
- find the information they are looking for in texts that deal with familiar topics
Assessment criteria, good (3-4)
(Skill level B1.2) Student:
- can communicate clearly in a way appropriate to the situation about their professional competence (e.g. job application)
- can tell about his field quite well
- handles everyday interaction situations and customer contacts in his own field quite well
- mainly writes well
- uses the basic vocabulary of his field so that the central message is conveyed
- uses basic grammar structures mostly correctly
- understand the main points and most details of the professional text they read
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
(Skill level B2.2-C1) Student
- can communicate fluently in a way that suits the situation about their own professional competence (e.g. job application)
- naturally handles diverse interaction situations and customer contacts in your own field by networking
- write fluently
- uses the basic vocabulary of his field so that the message is conveyed clearly
- uses basic grammar structures almost flawlessly
- understands both the main points and details of a professional text and is able to apply what he has read
