Objectives
After completing the course, student knows the material strengths and other classification properties of reinforced concrete structures. Student knows the main structural design principles of reinforced concrete structures. The student knows how to design conventional load-bearing reinforced concrete structures.
Student learns to read and interpret plans of load-bearing reinforced concrete structures. After the course, he will be able to use the information obtained from these in his design work.

Material theory and strength classifications
Building components such as beams, columns and slabs
Stiffening methods for reinforced concrete buildings
Retaining walls and earth pressure walls
Plans of load-bearing reinforced concrete structures

Student can identify and define the basic issues included in the course and solve simple applications that are similar to the tasks covered.
