Objectives

The students learn to systematically and safely perform electrotechnical measurements related to electrical power engineering, as well as to report on research results in written form.

Content

Characteristics and use of elecrotechnological measuring device as well as working safely and within regulations. Laboratory work covers the following topics: electrical installations and their commissioning, faults in low-voltage networks, relay protection technology for electrical networks and high-voltage equipment.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student knows how to build measurement connections and perform measurements in accordance with the given work instructions and separate instructions. The student is able to use the information acquired in the Study Course under guidance for tasks according to the examples and exercises presented in the Study Course. The student takes responsibility for his own work and knows how to work in a group.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

In addition to the criteria for a satisfactory grade, the student can explain the course of the measurements he made, process the measurement results, and justify the observations he made during the measurements and from the measurement results. The student performs the assigned tasks independently and also takes responsibility for the performance of the group. The student can independently use the information acquired in the Study Course for tasks according to the examples and exercises presented in the Study Course, but may not be able to independently apply the concepts and calculation principles discussed in the Study Course.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In addition to the criteria for a satisfactory and good grade, the student can critically analyze the measurements he has made and the measurement results he has processed, as well as draw more in-depth conclusions from his observations. The student is motivated and active, and takes committed responsibility for his own and the group's performance. The student is able to independently apply the concepts and calculation principles discussed in the Study Course to new tasks according to the content of the study course.
