• error sources and accuracy concepts of measuring devices
• the principle of calibration and tuning
• principles of measurement signal transfer and processing
• in accordance with the standards for the classification of industrial premises and equipment and the selection of suitable equipment for the premises.

Content

Measurement technology. Basic principles of measurement technology and reliability assessment. Methods and equipment for industrial temperature, pressure, level and flow measurements. Special requirements for potentially explosive atmospheres. Principles and characteristics of sampling and filtering.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student knows the concepts of industrial measurement technology and the most common industrial temperature, pressure, level and flow measurement methods and equipment.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

In addition to the above, the student knows the accuracy concepts of measuring devices and knows how to evaluate the reliability of measurement methods.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In addition to the above, the student knows how to choose the measurement method and device best suited to the object, taking into account the special requirements of the object. He shows independent familiarity with industrial measurement methods.
