Objectives

The student understands the whole life cycle of building information and product modeling and its benefits. The student knows and knows how to create and export a model produced in design until the construction site is completed. The student is able to make quantity lists, simulations and manage a project together with designers based on a data model.

Content

BIM to improve the quality and efficiency of the construction process. Creating and utilizing the model in different ways. Structures, Quantity, Locations, Schedules, Purchasing, Logistics and Production Planning, and Model-Based Digital Documentation of Construction. Collision analysis from a composite model.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student knows how to use information modeling tools at a basic level and knows how to use basic applications such as spreadsheets as part of a whole.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

In addition to the previous one, the student can apply the use of modeling tools to various challenging modeling situations and can justify the solutions he has made.
The student can also create simple 2D drawings from a data model.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In addition to the above, the student has a comprehensive understanding of the course topics and their use
problem solving; and the ability to present, analyze, and justify logically handled issues and methods of solution.
The student can prepare lists of quantities from the data model.
