Objectives

The student understands the effect of various stress and deformation states of the structure, as well as the effects of various stresses and structural solutions on the strength and deformation of the load-bearing structure both in the rod, level and 3-dimensional structures. The student masters the principles of the strength behavior of different materials, including in challenging stress conditions and in a rod made of parts. The student recognizes the effects of oscillation, pulsation and alternating tension, as well as the tension peaks of the contact surface and peripheral areas.

Content

Bent construction, plastic bending, multi-sided tile, torsion, column oblique bending, compression bending, combined stresses and stress conditions. Plastic joint and bending joint in circumferential structure. 3-Dimensional Component, Hoops and Pools. Strength hypotheses, gaps in structure, touch, stamp and edge stresses. Shear stress tension as well as thrust sliding surface in bending of assembled rod.
Special Issues in Strength Science. Introduction to dimensioning software.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student is able to identify and define the basics of the course and solve simple questions
applications that are similar to the tasks being handled.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

In addition to the above, the student is able to choose the most suitable one by applying and comparing different options
policy and justify their choices.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In addition to the above, the student has a comprehensive understanding of the course topics and their use
problem solving; and the ability to present, analyze, and justify logically handled issues and methods of solution.
