Objectives

The student is familiar with the stages, parties and their roles, responsibilities and obligations in the various renovation projects of housing companies. The student identifies implementations of a typical renovation project in terms of both design and contract forms. The student identifies well-established contract models and terms related to the procurement of renovation expert and implementation services. The student is able to apply what he or she has learned while working in a renovation project in a role.

Content

1. Project phases and parties: Responsibilities and obligations of the parties
2. Project preparation: Forms of repair projects, condition assessments and studies, contaminant surveys
3. Procurement of expert services and implementation: Procurement of technical expert and implementation services
4. Various projects: Demolition and refurbishment, refurbishment of ventilation, line renovations, replacement of the heating system, refurbishment of the electricity system and small-scale electricity generation, charging systems for electric cars, accessibility renovations.
